"Roderick (Rod) Cameron - Painter"

Although starting his working life as a motor mechanic in Western Victoria, it didn’t take long for Rod to realize that art could possibly be his future.

Travelling Australia with his wife Helen and mate “Whisky” the Jack Russell, Rod was inspired by the sheer beauty in all that surrounded him, the rusty iron sheds, the old cars, rabbit traps and the pure isolation.

Today his paintings are loved all over Australia, Britain, Europe and America.

Although the main focus of Rod’s paintings is on the Australian outback, he also does sea-scapes and still lifes with equal success.

Being completely self-taught, it is the uniqueness that has won him numerous small awards throughout Australia.
